At least in my social circles, it is highly likely that you saw some Masterclass ads on Facebook and elsewhere. The site has a lot of video classes from some very interesting people helping you to learn a trade.
I will kick it of with the deadmau5 video intro to his Masterclass on electronic movie production.
He brings it across as just playing and doing so in a funny way.
Gordon Ramsey is showing you how to cook, but really showing, like a real life cooking course but in video.
My wife actually gave me a barbecue course here in Cologne I will do with a friend soon and it will be fun. Learning from a Master can be a great joy and is something that will become ever more important in the future. Video will be a great tool in this field as it scales a lot better. The question is just if you have the skill to produce a good video.
I actually see the same thing coming in general education, where the question is coming up why hundreds or thousands of ok teachers, but great mentors, need to be the ones giving you the introduction to a topic. Wouldn’t it be great if Brian Cox could tell you about how things fall at the same speed in vacuum, a feather and a rock? He did. And he did so brilliantly. Enjoy and be educated.
