Kill Google Via AdSense

Greg Lindin hits the nail on the head with his Kill Google, Vol. 3 post. He says, and I agree, that to kill Google, you do not need to build a better search engine, but rather build a better AdSense. The additional benefit with this is that you can compete on the AdSense front not solely based on technology. I do not think another closed system will win there though.

Or maybe just a more open and accountable version of Adsense.

Trying to make a living from a program where the owner can pull the pin on you with no warning, giving no explanation, and withhold previous earnings is a frightening prospect.

Let alone a company who expects you to strictly follow to the letter any and all program policies they set down, but is completely unaccountable for the distribution of its income, beyond challenge for its decisions, and seemingly beyond the reach of the law.

Do no evil???
