Forbes has a great article on Connection to eBay, an Accenture business to help companies sell their excess inventory on eBay.
Connection To eBay employs 92 people based at eBay’s San Jose, Calif., campus. It makes the following pitch to manufacturers: Within 17 days, it will build a complete eBay distribution channel, handling everything from auction strategy, listing setup and management to pre- and post-sale customer support, checkout, order management, warehousing and shipping. So far, the service has drawn 60 customers.
Thanks to Jeffrey McManus for the tip.

Samsung to overtake Nokia in Mobile Phone sales
There we have it, Samsung said that they will overtake Nokia as the biggest supplier of mobile phones by 2010. A very high goal, then again, some companies that set themselves these goals really make them. Just read Good to Great to get an idea about these big goals companies. I should be worried about my Nokia shares now, but up till now I am not. This needs to be watched though. On a related not, Russel Beattie caught something at the Nokia Capital Markets Day that I missed: Nokia gets moblogging. How cool is that!
We now have spamassassin
My brother has now installed spamassassin on our mail server. I was wondering what all the messages with “*****SPAM*****” in the subject were all of the sudden
I really like how it looks at whether something is spam though.

Popup on Exit
I recently had the problem of trying to have a Popup open when a user closes a page. Knowing people in the porn biz helps
So this is it:
<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!--
var exit=true;
function ciao()
{
if (exit)
window.open('http://ennead.de');
}
// -->
</SCRIPT>
Then you add
onUnload=”javascript:exit=false”
to all your links to that the popup doesn’t come up when somebody clicks a link.
You’re done. Congratulations. ![]()
Update: Thanks to Jeremy‘s comment I’ll add that you have to add a ‘onUnload=”ciao()”‘ to your body tag for this to work. I almost had everyone breaking out in sweat there as it didn’t work
Where IM is going
Want to learn more about where Instant Messaging is going in the future? Thanks to nico I just found a very good interview/article about IM staring Peter Ford from Microsoft and Eric Allman from Sendmail. Interesting couple. Interesting conversation.
David Blaine eat your heart out
That’s the subtitle of the CNN story about Prahlad Jani the indian guru that does not seem to need foot. I already posted aobut this yesterday. For more articles about him simply search for Prahlad Jani on Google News.
Creating a Customer RSS Feed Aggregator
RSS is getting bigger and bigger and W. Jason Gilmore introduces us to Creating a Custom RSS Feed Aggregator with PHP, MySQL and the Magpie RSS parser. I am currently showing some RSS feeds on the frontpage but that’s just a default thing, not with a MySQL database and user configurability. It might be an interesting experiment to build something like that.
Somebody is (really) living without food
I was just sent a story on the wonder of india. It’s about a man in India, who says he hasn’t eaten in 65 years. He is now under close observation, constant surveilance with cameras, in a hospital and he hasn’t eaten or drank in 10 days. He also hasn’t been to the toilet in that time.
He says that this is going on since he is 8 when he started having some kind of outflow from his palate (?). The doctors have not been able to analyze it yet ![]()
I am still not sure if we somehow have April or something again and I just missed it.
